hello mate, not totally sure but i dont think you should do 50 mph in 4x4 low it could be a saftey thing cut in ?

well it would be the same situation if you wanted to get out of stuck in snow, i dont think i want saftey feature lol, even in 4w/hi it was mearly rotating.

somethings not right as you suggest ,maybe pm richuk he may have an idea.hope its nothing too bad ,goodluck ,richard

cheers feller, im going to test the power supply on the plug behinde the shifter motor, as i read on the usa bit, it should be 12v continuas when locked in 4/hi

Just a thought.... does the Explorer split 50/50 when the transfer box is used?
I know some cars do 60/40 70/30 etc with more power going to the rear wheels.

i think in low its 60/40 but 4w/hi should be 50/50

Got a transfer case here u can have mate ..for a 99 on ? ( ie the vss is on the rear diff not on top ..look for the blue sensor above the shift motor if it aint there cool )....believe has 70 k on it
