transfer case, button to lever conversion?

Is it possible to change a push-button transfer case to a lever operated one?
I am thinking of the 91-94 models. I know a few made it out with lever operated cases, but I don't know how different the cases are.

Don't you have AWD? A few people on this site have switched to manual transfer cases. I know Ray Lobato and Jefe are two. You'd have to switch transfer cases though...

My list name may have given you that idea, but I no longer have the 98ltd. I have a 95 ranger, and I am looking to move to a 93-94 Ex.
Anything in my range has 100k on it, and I don't really trust the transfer case to engage when it is needed. My wefe's old 93 and now my 95 ranger are getting a bit sticky when it gets cold, and it doesn't engage. I just want a lever so I know it is in 4wd/4lo.
