This may be on this site somewhere, but I could not find it...
It seems that I recall someone telling me that all the transfer cases used in 91 Explorers were the same type, only one was electronic and the other wasn't (or something like that).
Anyway, I have the push-button control (with a butchered harness) and I was wondering if it is possible to convert it to a good old shift lever on the floor, without changing the transfer case.
I know the obvious parts I'd need- the lever, boot, linkage(?). Can this be done, and what would this take to do?
