Transfer Case HELP!!!!!

My transfer case wont shift into 4wd i hear three clicks come from the back when i hit the button but doesnt engae...... the clicks i hear come from a little black box in the back drivers side... any ideas???

just found the problem someone told me to clean the motor im gonna do that and hope that works

Yep...check the shift motor. TONS of threads about it just search. It happens alot it seems...you can take the motor out and clean it yourself. Like I said there are threads about so just do a search i'm i'm sure you'll find something.
