I have had a clicking/clunking noise for quite awhile (over a year).
Wife is getting tired of it.
I had her drive it while I walked along side with the hood up. It is definetly in the front of the vehicle and I believe it is in the transfer case.
Noise is only while moving forward.
In 4x4 Auto and 4x4 Low it makes the noise. In 4x4 High the noise goes away. Does not make the noise in reverse in any 4x4 mode.
Could low fluid level be the cause? I don't know if it is low.
I can't drive in 4x4 High all of the time our roads are dry.
Thanks for the help.
