ok, so the relay fixed the fuel pump not working, but then there was no spark. so after some new walmart special plugs, the car runs with gas down its throttle body. there were many reasons why this car didnt run! now I'm discovered the injectors are getting no fuel, a device hooked onto the air filter box which controls the fuel ammount to the engine doesnt function. i'm gonna see somebody on the base who has a scrap golf and i'll see if he has one to spare...

I feel so stupdi right now. the 3rd reason the car didnt run was a user error: the intake has to be connected for the fuel distribution to work.... hehe at least now it runs to get to point a to b, needs a clutch pretty bad though, not bad for a free car
