Transfer case problems

I have a 99 explorer...while out 4wheeling i blew out the passenger side cv axle. Now ive replaced the cv axle and the electronic switch on the dash has 4 wheel drive off but my transfer case is still locked in 4low. This is my first 4x4 so all help would be appreciated. Thanks

Well I don't know about second gen but something similar happened to my first gen I had to put in a new shift motor the sensors went bad in it

Tried shifting it into 4WD high? Occasionally mine will stick in 4-Low if I don't go to 4-High first
