Transfer case question

Anybody know if I can mate the BW case from my 04 v6 to the tranny in a 99 with a 5.0L?
I blew up my 04 that has a doubler and am looking at a 5.0L swap but I want to be sure I can keep my Tcase setup.
Any help would be appreciated.

Nope, they have different bolt patterns. I know the v8 uses a 6 bolt I think the v6 and 4 bangers use 5.

What doubler is it? And what trans is on the 5.0?

Transmission is a 4R70W best I can tell.
The doubler is from Duff on pirate 4x4

They will not interchange without a special adaptor.

Any idea the spline count on the output shaft for the V8 ?
I tried counting them in the picture but i was unsuccessful.

31 spline just about any v8 or i6 t-case will work only 2 that I know of in a full size came with a different count and one was the 1356 the other is so old you probably won't find it. The 32 spline 1356 is rare so any v8 Ford t-case will work. I have a np205 in mine from a 79 Broncos.

I use photobucket to download to net then get the link and paste it here. But yeah no problem now keep in mind there isn't much room for a big t-case the no205 fits perfectly.

Not super concerned with the length I'll have to remake driveshafts anyways and I already planned on making a fuel cell so that won't be to much more work.

I was referring mostly to width of it and keeping from having to notch grain.

Yup that's it. Has a lot more body damage now is all!
