They are totally different transfer cases (ranger - 1354, explorer - 4405). The Explorer electronics won't control the Ranger T-case.

well it does it locks in 4 low and 4 high

all im asking is whats the brown wire to cuz on all 3 transfer cases i have its cut on even the one that came in my explorer

In a '95 Explorer 4405, the brown wire engages 4wd. The shift motor shifts high and low.

In a Ranger 13-54, the shift motor does everything.

Thanks cuz i just got it twisted together and since i prolly don't need need it ill cap the wire
Is there a reason why when the stock transfer case is out of the car and i turn the shaft they dont lock up like they should or is it part of the control trac system?
