HELLO all just signed up have a question for anybody who's had this happen.First off I think FORD must have been trying to liven up to is saying when they made my 92 EB ya know fix or repair daily love the truck but what a pain it's been seems like everytime I fix one prob. another appears ok here goes got the truck needed a trans.$1500 later prob took care of then auto hubs went bad went through 3 sets before I found a good set 4h worked when I got it no 4L went through 4 switches before I found out that won't the prob. and might I add the local FORD repair shop said that was the prob. finally found a junked one with a selector motor on the xfer case put it on prob. solved now that the 4x4 is working but everytime I engage it espically on a slick surface AKA MUD I keep getting a HORRIABLE BAM!! CLUNK!! CREAKING, AND A noise that sounds like gears on a sprocket stripping out and not to mention you can fell it through out the whole truck and the left side front feels like your jumping a stump 10ft tall and thats going straight and the faster I try to go the worse it gets it's like every 1 revolation it does this but the tires still keep turning 4L still does it but not as bad. Teraibbaly embarassing when you have somebody around or in it w/you. PLEEEAAASE HELP AT WITS END W/THIS TRUCK.

for your transfer case and light problem, go to this link and read...after you have read you will be wondering why you waited so long to come here....a hint: the fix is a 1/2" long piece of vacuum hose....

someone will chime in about your clunk....

LOL tbars thats a dead link!

FIXOR REPAIR DLY >> I think you're at the point where your vehicle is on its way out. I mean you're probably not the first owner of the vehicle and its 15 years old so things just break down over time.

I think what you need to do is get the vehicle up in the air and start rotating the tires and such -- listen for any odd noises.

izwack, did you do that to my link, lol???? ;)

ok, now it works, lol

LOL no i didnt.

THANX TO ALL YA FOR YOUR HELP WELL CHECK EVERYTHING OUT WHEN i GET TIME.
