Hi everyone, this site is great and very helpful! However, I'm in a pinch and don't know what to do next. Here's some history, please help! I'd like to fix myself, especially with all the time I've already invested, but I need to figure this out soon or it's going to the shop.
1999 Mazda b4000 4.0L 4wd Auto
Symptoms: no engagement in D, would engage in all other gears and would run fine after that. Would shift good and could not tell of any problems other than no engagement in D and the 2/3 flare.
Tried: Transgo shift kit sk55e.
Did not fix engagement problem, however no 2/3 flare and shifted great.
New Symptoms last week: no engagement in D, 1st, 2nd. Reverse works great.
Tried: Ford VB separator plate, revised solenoid bracket, and $EPC. (along with previous transgo kit).
This also has not fixed my no engagement problem.
Where should I look next? Am I overlooking something simple or is it something more than the VB.
