Transmission help

okay.. so i have a '97 Ford explorer Sport 4x4 4.0 SOHC. but i have a Ford lightning transmission in it. well the reverse went out about 6 months ago and well yesterday it died on the side of 285. anyone think they could give me an estamit on how much it might cost?

One question you sure you have the Ford lightning tranny in there? Last time I checked the 4R100/E40D family transmission didn't fit in the Explorer less alone AA doesn't make an adapter.
