Transmission Help

Alright I fount a 96 ford explorer 4x4 for $500 its a v6 automatic and im wondering how much a transmission would cost for one please let me know.Thanks Chris

It would cost about double or tripple of the price of the vehicle unless you get one from a junkyard or rebuild it yourself.

thats what i thought was to get one from the junkyard cause all imma do is turn this one into a mud truck I have a 92 all stock that I drive and I heard that the transmission were expensive.If i get it and do a 302 swap I can do a different tranny cant I

You could make a parts wanted ad in the classified section for the transmission.

it dont say ill call the guy tomorrow when i get out of school im 17 ill be 18 in 2 months

craigslist explorer trans you might find a great deal. i no there are always some around here. =]
