Transmission is dropping out of gear.

1996 explorer xlt 4x4
Every thing works fine till i slow down to around 30 mph i hear this sound like
gears trying to ingage and rpm drop I just tap the gas pedel and it ok It is
as if it is droping out of drive then when i step on gas it ingages I have
flushed and replaced transmission filter CAN ANYONE HELP ME

Up date Ijust pluged in my OBDII/EOBD and ge PO122 code Throdle pedal position senser
sw A circut low .can this have anything to do with this?????

Welcome to this forum! I've renamed your thread, and moved it into the transmission section. Check the fluid level, and the hydraulic pressure. How many miles does it have?

Sounds like it could be a trans issue, or possibly the infamous transfer case shift rail bore issue.... Not sure of an easy way to diagnose it between the two....
