I have a 1997 Explorer XLT 4.0 SOHC, 158K, 2wd. I have owned the vehicle for little over 2 years. I'm thinking it's due to a replacement i was looking at 1999 Explorers possible with V8. My question is:
Should I keep it or sell it?
I need to put new tires and brakes on (roughly 1000.00) But I don't want to spend the mony on it if i'm going to sell it.
I recently had the thermostate housing unit replaced, i've replaced the starter and soilinoid and that's it. I've been fortunate not to have to put much money in to it. I'm just stuck because i've been told that their transmissions were prone to problems i've never had problems YET and i have never serviced the transmission since owning it.
What are your thoughts...
