Hi all I have another Explorer from friend of mine and we starting to pull our hair out because of this issue and hoping one of explorers maybe had same experience and you can please share your expertise....
my mate bought a explorer and the previous owner says it has a auto problem but the body was very good condition and we decided just to replace the transmission and should be fine but then he changed the auto trans in my 97 explorer as well as the torque converter & pcm & speed sensor & throttle positioning sensor & it is still the same it wont go into top gear 40-50 kph @ 3000rpm roughly anybody had a similar problem or know a possible solution its doing our head in so let us know cheers....
