- 97 Ford Explorer 5.0 V8
I have a 97 Ford Explorer Limited (5.0 V8) and 6 months ago I had the transmission replaced with a used transmission and now it seems to be acting up. I drove it a mile or two and almost made it back home but I had to put the explorer in park then put in drive to finish driving it home. Please don't tell me I need another transmission. Could it be something else associated with the transmission! Could it possibly be a transmission module?
