- 2007 Explorer Sport Trac
Hey everybody,
I own a 2007 Sport Trac Limited and I'm having a transmission issue, and I'm not sure if I have made a small mistake leading to this. I bought the truck for cheap with a bad engine, I replaced it a junkyard 4.0 from a 2005 Explorer (the engine is dated June 04 I think.) I have the throttle body from my truck - the 2007 and I noticed that a 2005 and a 2007 are listed as having two different throttle position sensors. The 2005 is listed as having a Motorcraft DY-968 and the 2007 needs a DY-1164.
My transmission is not shifting well, it will not shift from 1st until it reaches 3000+ RPM. Other gear changes aren't so great and the RPM's stay high until I take my foot of the gas.
I have replaced the solenoid, added transmission fluid and also replaced the servo bore with the units from AJ1E Superior Solutions. I am kinda at a loss and looking for new things to check.
