The shape of the bellhousing is slightly different (at least on the 5R55E). You will have to get a different starter most likely. The bolt pattern should be the same. Are we talking about the 4.0L OHV? The 91 had an A4LD. The 95-96 had a 4R55E.
You have the manual transmission. Was it the same engine? The year is different, but if the engines are the same it would fit. There is something called the Hollander interchange manual. The junk yards have this book. I think body shops might have it too. They would be able to tell you for sure without any guesswork.
