Hey all...
I have a few questions regarding my transmission. I just bought this 93 explorer with an auto transmission cause my 92 ranger transmission went out on me. I figured if I'm going to spend 800 to fix the transmission in a shop on my old truck I might as well use it to buy something else. So I got the explorer. Apparently even though the transmission was rebuilt last year in it (according to the seller) it is slipping a little now. So my questions are these:
Is it better to overhaul or rebuild the transmission? Does this depend on what is wrong with it? Would synthetic transmission fluid help for now? Would it be a good idea to flush the transmission fluid or use lucas or sea foam or something like that?
Thanks!
