Recently my 94 Sport has been slow accelerating from a stop sign, and on the highway, randomly, it'll like stutter, or skip. Just within the last day or two, it's done it a little more often though.

Any ideas?

Is this the problem discussed in this thread - http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=262170

???

Or is this something a lot bigger and worse? Thanks guys.

I recently had what is referred to as "Transmission Morning Sickness", when I needed to start from a stop it would slip and take several seconds to engage.
I had the trans rebuilt only 30,000 miles prior so I was kind of worried. A local mechanic changed the filter and fluid and it runs fine again. I actually was able to watch him perform the service and i was able to see the sludge that was clogging the filter screen. I was not aware that the trans fluid should be changed so frequently, the mechanic suggested 10,000milea, that seems extreme. I think I will do it every 25k miles.

Check for failing fuel pump.
