My question is now that I have installed a 1995 automatic transmission into my 1992 Explorer how do I get the overdrive to engage? From the research I've done I've discovered the tranny I installed is from the 2nd generation with the shifting controlled electronically via the EEC. Since my 1st gen EEC and wiring harness are not set up for the 2nd gen tranny is there any way of setting up some kind of manual toggle switch or must I get a 2nd gen EEC and wiring harness then go through the nightmare of coupling both EEC's together then wiring it compatible to both of them?
