I have put transmissions on engine stands before. A transmission being aluminum, be sure to secure to as many points to the stand as possible espicially if it is still complety assembled. You dont want to run the risk of cracking or breaking a mouting hole off. Be mindfull in the way it hangs on the mounting lobes as not to crack or break the bellhousing.
Yes I used the 4 mounts from engine stand and ran bolts with washers thru the the “ thick ears” of the transmission 2 to top 1 to each side of trans.bellhousing, seems to be no issues, thanks for replies
