trany??? help please

sat. night i was going to go to my friend house and i got in and head off but the trainy was actin funny like i was in nutral and the would click in to gear all of a suddin then i cheacked my fuild and it was low i mean low the was just a lil bit on the tip of the dip stick so i ad some and got it up to just below the hatch marks and it acted fine no sliping or any thing so i went my friends house and what notit was fine then to day i went out and drove a lil and checked it a agian it was acting fine bit a slow on the sifts so i checked it and it was down to the second lil hole on the dip stick

i dont know i cant spot a drip or a leak or any thing

has any had the prob before

How many miles are on the tranny?

Pull off the vacuum line

going to the vacuum modulator on the transmission. Check to see if there is any fluid in the vacuum line up on the tree on the manifold. If there are no visible leaks on the transmission, this is the only place the fluid can be going. I'd check the motor oil level too. It might be higher now.
