Ok 1994 ford explorer.

So what happened? I dont know, wondering if you do.

So got truck in Aug of last year. Did a tranny flush right away, and changed filter (Uncle said fluid would blow out every so often) So i changed the filter and added a cooler. That helped out alot. So it came time to change the fluid and filter again. But this time i let STUPID cotterman do it! Back in DEC he told me, (trying to get me to go down there) that they do a free ADJ. of the bands, and inspect the tranny when they change ****. So i thought this time, ill let him do it. BAD IDEA...Pick up, he said there was nothing to ADJ., and everything was fine. Two weeks later a vibration starts on the highway, something new..Manily in OD

So i changed the two UV joints for the rear drive shaft. This seamed to help, even though the guy who did it (no press) Put the rear mount back together 180 deg off.

Went ok for a couple of days...Now again on the highway i got a bad vibration! I shift to Drive, and it is still there. So i hit the gas a bit harded, sounds like it shifts down a gear, vibration goes away, i get to the speed i want, and i am good. Shift back to OD and the vibration is not so apparent.

I have done all my tune ups to the motor, plugs wires, everything. No check lites on at all! Runs good! and in City driving, it kicks ass! Only happens on the highway! What should i do?

It does have the early morning shift delay, caused by governer! I am going to replace that. Other then that I used Merc 5 fluid. Lucas tranny treatment, along with a 1/4 a can of seafoam tranny fluid. I got the best joints at advanced..orange box? forgot the kind.

Please help!!! what should i do? HELP HELP HELP!

If there is anyone around springfield MA that is good with this tranny...I'll hook you up! i run a car, and truck toy center (also do home electronics) Alarms, nav, DVD, in dash screens..bla bla...HELP! lol

First of all, the A4LD doesn't use Mercon V. It uses the regular Mercon ATF. The next thing I have a question about. What do you mean by the mount was 180 degrees off? Is this the transmission mount which connects to the crossmember? Vibration could be caused by improperly balanced tires if you only feel vibration at highway speeds. How is the alignment? Did you check the ball joints for excessive play? I've had a couple of bent driveshafts cause a lot of vibration, and noise.

Not tires! Sorry i did not state the more apperent!

i know it takes merc 3, but merc 5 is recamended!

Not the tranny mount! that would not even work! The mount for the drive shaft. the rear UV joint mount...i marked them what way to put back on, but it is off a bit.

I am trying to get someone who kows the inside of these alot, the bands...i think cotterman lied! there are bands that can be adjusted? thanks for your help though...Also not the front end...i wish lol
