Trouble Code - P0340 - Drive Shaft?

I'm getting a code P0340 = Camshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit.

Is this a problem with the shaft or the sensor...or something else?

Your model year had a powered sensor. Check that you are getting voltage to it and that electrical connections are good. Done any work in that area to have disturbed wiring? The sensors do fail. Service manual calls for an alignment tool for installing the sensor.

Note the reference to the crankshaft position sensor . . . not the drive shaft.
