Trouble finding lifts for 97 XLT

body mount bolts

How do you get the bolts to come out of the body mount bushings. It appears that they are threaded onto the washers encasing the bushing. any information would be appreciated.

if they dont thread out with an impact teh bushing has rotted... that means you are gonna have to take some vice grips of channel locks and try to grip the hell out of the bushing to make it grabe the threads that are supposed to be attached to the bushings. I also sugest you get new bushings if all of them are that way.

I can get all of the bolts out except the 2 forward ones next to the radiator. I tried beating them out gripping them with a C clamp and even hit them with a pneumatic tie rod fork to see if that would break them loose. I thought maybe they were different in the front. If anyone has any other suggestions that would be great. Thank's for the infor nissan boy I will give her hell again.

the very front ones you need to hold the top of the bolt with a wrench and turn the other side or vice versa. Shoulda known those were the ones you were talking about. My bad.

I've got the nut off of the bottom of the bolt but once I lift the body off of the frame the bushing and two washers will not come off of the bolt. When I take off the nut and spin the bolt the washers and bushing spin with the bolt. Did you say there were threads insind the rubber bushing? The washers and bushings are separate pieces correct? Or are they a complete unit? I spent about 1 hour messing with them and decided I was retarded or something and put it back together to seek further guidance from the pro's.AKA you guys! Let me know about those bushings there kicking my butt. Thanks
