I'm trying to get the driver side door off my 97 X. Ive got both hinges off but haynes is absolutly no help in telling you how to under the wiring harness from the door. it just says "disconnect the electrical connectors to the door wiering harness" The wires are all covered, and this think looks like a space city from star wars, you know, the side ways one? :dunno:

Any ways, Thanks in advance.

The big star wars house thing just unplugs AFTER you unscrew it. There should be a bolt on it. after unscrewing it you should beable to unplug it.

You have to take off some panels dont you? I havn't done it but I have read alot about it here in these forums. Also if its street driven, make sure you have side mirrors mounted, some, if not most states require them. I am looking to get some big '85 f-250 mirrors and simply mount them onto the front fenders, then remove my doors. I am also designing in 3d a layout for some canvas covered tube doors to fill in during the weather. Any body in here do canvas work? or have tips on it?

There is a 10mm socket sized bolt that holds the door LF connecotr together, just like the PCM. Unbolt it and the connector is disconnected. Regards,
