Can anyone point me in the right direction to get started in troubleshooting a factory DVD that just stopped working in my 2005 XLT?

Have had the Explorer for about 6 months, and the DVD has worked fine up until now. Yesterday, I opened the monitor and pressed the power button, but nothing. Press power on the remote, and still nothing.

I don't have a factory service manual, so I was hoping there may be some expertise here to help me through this.

If I have left out pertinent information, please let me know so I can update the thread.

Thanks!!

Okay, as an update...

I have looked through the vehicle manual and see that the head unit and DVD both operate off the same 20A fuse in the fuse box. Since radio is working fine, the problem should not be fuse.

I also looked through the separate book that comes with the dvd system, but it is not of much help. Basically, everything seems like the DVD system should come on at least for setup screen and menus.

I guess either no power is being delivered to the DVD unit for some reason other than the fuse, or the unit itself is just all of a sudden completely dead.

Any suggestions would be welcome.
