I tried searching, but basically all the replies were so general it could be absolutely anything wrong with the truck.

Let me give a little detail and perhaps you guys can help me at least narrow this down.

About 1 week ago my truck started to make a few odd rattles. Almost like the exhaust had a rattle in it. It was sporadic and happened once every few minutes. I just assumed something loose with my exhaust.

Then all of a sudden I take it for a drive and I get suddering every time I accelerate. It is hardly noticable below 40mph, but as I get higher it gets extremely noticable. Anything over 50mph and my steering wheel is vibrating up and down. Kinda like the same thing you get when you have a flat tire and you are going fast.

It is odd as it was all of a sudden and not gradual. First the metal rattle and then all of a sudden this.

I checked the tires and they still all have their balancing weights on them. Tire psi is fine.

It almost feels like it is coming from the front driver side.

Anybody have an idea, only happens when accelerating. Most pronounced when accelerating up a hill.

i hear a "ticking" when i accelerate my explorer. I haven't the slightest idea of what it could be. It sounds like it's coming from the steering column.
