it overheated and shut off. I pulled to the side and replaced the thermistat and gaskets. had a very hard time getting it to start. got some gas and it started getting hot again so I pulled into a convienient store and saw the radiator hose was off. Had to turn off truck to reattach and add water. Now it wont start. it tries but its almost like it is getting no fuel? Mine is an 03 could it be the fuel pump relay? most of the engine bay got sprayed with water.

check all the fuses and relay sockets and dry them if they are wet. Check your air intake you may have sucked water in. After making sure all is dry give it a try.

wondering if I blew head gasket and have no compression now.

It would still start with a blown head gasket. Pretty hard to blow all cyl at once.

tried all the fuses and relays. no go. had it towed and should find out today what it is.

blown head gasket. mechanic wants to just replace motor. said if it got that hot the block could be cracked or other internal damage.
