i rear ended someone tonight. I slammed on my breaks and the ABS kicked in and it didnt allow me to stop fast enough. Anyways, no damage to the other car, but my truck bumper is a little bent. Anyways, now my truck wont start, it wont even crank. All my electronics work except the runnins lights, and my alarm no longer works. My fog lamps were busted...could that have blown a fuse, or something. I need help Please..Thanks

Probably triggered the fuel cutoff. dunno where yours is on a 92 though.

But would hitting the fuel cut off not allow it to crank at all?

The Fuel Inertia Switch should be on the pass. side of the vehicle along the top of the rug line and just behind it where your feet would rest. It will be black in color and have small red plunger that needs to be reset!!! LOL!!!

Rob

I understand, but would that cause the engine not to even crank over? and cause my running lights and alarm to not work?

Maybe you knocked some wiring loose? Battery or battery cables?

You're right, the inertia switch would not have anything to do with the engine not cranking. Sounds like you have damaged something electrical. First step is to check all your fuses, especially the ones under the hood. Then if those are okay, get out your test light or multimeter and start from the battery, work your way out and find where the power stops.
