I had 7 inch lights on and they filled out the space pretty well but if you use the back mounts (there are light mounts on the front of the bar and the back of the bar) you should be able to fit the larger lights also.

At autozone just look in the aisle where they have lifting/lowering stuff and they were in a thin red box. I think they were called lifting/lowering shackles. If you can't find them I would just ask for them by that name. If they work there I am guessing they would know where they would be kept. I have also seen them at pep boys in the same type of aisle.

I think I've decided my front setup!

Two Hella 1000s on the top bar, two in the middle.. front if they'll fit, back if they won't.. and two rectangle fogs (most likely some Hella 550 fogs) on the bottom.

You never took any night pics...

With how close your lights are to the bar, is it any problem to aim them?

Did you see my post about my light setup I've decided on? What do you think?

I did, it sounds good to me. I think the 1000's will fit, i am just not 100% sure. The only issue I found was you might need to use some washers as spacers so the light housing doesn't hit the actual tube parts of the bar. I had that issue but its a cheap simple fix. It might not make complete sense now but you will see what I mean if you have the issue ha.

Haha.. I'm not even gonna question you about it.. I definitely understand finding these kinda things out by now.. I've had my fair share.

I hope they all fit... it'll be a badass setup.

It definately sounds so. Right now I only have 1 set of lights up front, new Piaa projectors because of the plow. I will take pictures at some point...but knowing me that might be in the actual spring time haha. I better be the first to see those new pictures though. :D

For sure, I should post em in here first. =P

It's gonna be a lil while though, got ball joints, and a rear wheel bearing to fix. Not to mention replace my MAF and IAC, and a front brake overhaul........ ugh..

i like that pic with all the lights on. what bulbs are you using in your head lights? i like how white they are. can you see better with them than regular bulbs?

Those headlights look like HIDs to me, probably ... I'm gonna say... uhm... 4300K?

2nd guess... 5000K

Might be 6000k.. which is the same as I have.. and he took the picture after they've warmed up. idk... Definitely HIDs though.

I actually think they are 8000K warmed up for a little. I can see better with them, but they are single stage so there is no high beam, but I use my aux lights as high beams. I am probably selling them though, I am going to try a different approach and I kinda need money now ha.

I had a set of 6K on my old Silvarado, Loved em. Im thinking about getting a set for my Ex.

Alaskan huh? Leave for good or what?

no just for a while lol lived in biglake all my life (23 years) my wife wanted to move down here for a few years so i figured it wouldnt hurt to get out for a lil while. But i plan on moving back in a few years if not sooner.

Andy, did you have any problems getting an alignment after the TT? I ask because I heard it's hard to align Explorers?
Anyone else is welcome to answer this as well.

nope not at all, I didn't even bring it to my regular shop, I brought it to pepboys and it was done in about an hour, and i am pretty sure that the majority of that was just waiting for my turn.

No problems here with a TT and alignment, many of us have done it without any problems.

Thank you for the input. I ask because mine had to go to several shops apparently and was a pain to get aligned before it was mine? Plus I simply don't want to pay for an alignment. Thank goodness for family members that have automotive skills ;)
