So today I figured was a good day to knock out some upcoming 100,000 mile maintenance on my 2003 Explorer 4.0 since I am driving to San Antonio next week. I ordered the parts the other day from Rock Auto and could not believe how cheap everything was. So, I bought plugs, wires, Idle Air Control, and a thermostat. Completed the plugs and wires then flushed my cooling system and replaced my IAC. Took me about three hours then took it for a spin. I could not believe how much better it drives and sounds. Before I had a bad idle at times now it sounds as though I have a brand new vehicle. Just wanted to thank this site for giving me the knowledge to take over all my own maintenance and save a ton of money.
