turn signal bulb for 09 X

So im trying to get the switchback turn signals in my headlights and the bulb number for the headlight is a 3457 but all the switchback bulb sizes say that a 3157 fits but im not 100% sure. Does anybody have these bulbs or know about them and if a 3157 does fit? thanks for the help

Agreed, 3157 will be fine.

The difference between a 3157 and 3457, when comparing incandescent versions, is the 3157 has less watts & lumens due to a smaller filament, and accordingly yields a longer life. 3157 should last from twice to four times as long as a 3457 is whats suggested. A glass, glass and vinyl, or all vinyl base varies among mfgs.

Otherwise, the bulbs are identical as far as size, base, etc. so for an LED application 3157 is 3457.

so the bulb should just plug right in to the car plug correct? And i dont need any additional wiring?

You may get hyperflashing. If you have a flasher, you will need to swap it with an electronic flasher. If not, you will have to add a resistor to trick the truck into thinking you have an incandescent bulb.
