I'm hoping one of you fellows could help me with a problem. My turn signals are out, the fuse blows. I replaced the flasher and the fuse but it will just blow the fuse, either immediately or like a mile down the road. I cant find any breaks in the wires and the bulbs all seem to work or at least they work with the 4-ways. Any suggestions?

For a fuse to blow, the circuit it's on is pulling too much amperage which is usually caused by a short to ground. Hard part is finding out where in the circuit that's happening. A digital multimeter and a test light are extremely helpful when trying to track down the problem.

For the exterior lighting, there are different wiring diagrams for 2 or 4 door models, but I've looked at the wiring diagrams that are the same and Fuse 5.

Fuse 5 - protects the following circuits:
Turn Lamps
Backup Lamps
Daytime Running Lamps (if equipped)
Heated Backlite
Blower Motor Relay
Trailer Turn Lamp Relays (w/ trailer package)

Pretty much anything on that circuit could be shorting to ground and causing the fuse to blow.

Wiring color key:

BK : Black
BL : Blue
BR : Brown
DB : Dark Blue
DG : Dark Green
GY : Gray
GN : Green
LB : Light Blue
LG : Light Green
PK : Pink
O : Orange
P : Purple
R : Red
T : Tan
V : Violet
W : White
Y : Yellow

NOTE: Where two colors are shown for a wire, first is basic color and second is stripe marking (tracer). For example, BR/O is brown with orange stripe.

I thought that much too, Spent a couple hours today looking at and crawling under it searching but didn't find any shorts. I will have to look again in the morning.

Could the short be in the switch? I don't know if they can get sloppy and move around inside. I have not had your problem, but I have one or two switches that don't always make contact because they are worn out.
