Okay I'm asking for help here.

Info-
2006 explorer 4.6l Eddie Bauer
4x4/AWD

Okay heres the issue it will turn over but will not start. Drove it home parked it went down in the morning, nothing.

Fuses all checked
Initeria button checked
TPS replaced.
Replaced fuel filter maybe 10,000 miles or less.
Spark plugs replaced 10,000 miles or less

Have not verified fuel pump can not hear any noise,
Can verify there is spark - confused on how to do it with coil pack sitting on spark plug.

Suggestions - I'm thinking of taking the fuel filter off and trying to start the engine to see if fuel shoots out lets me know the pump is working.

I'm hunting through the Service Manual, but one thing that struck me was the Mass Airflow Sensor. On my older Town Car and Grand Marquis, if it's malfunctioning, the car won't start. But, disconnecting it will allow it to start. Just tried the Explorer with MAF Sensor disconnected, and it does start, so you may want to try that.

Edit: My Service Manual Says:

DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING
Engine Ignition
Refer to the Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) manual.

DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING
Fuel System
Refer to the Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) manual.

Needless to say, I haven't made that investment yet. Didn't think I'd have to since I already paid for the 2006 Ford Explorer Factory Shop Service Manual Set + Wiring Diagrams! Sheesh...

Edit II: Just bought it:

2006 Ford Car/Truck Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis Service Manual (360492928450)

Paid on Jan-26-13 $19.59 $6.00 1 $19.59

Too bad I can't find a PDF version. Still two available. You get three chances to make an offer. I offered $14.00, declined. $15.00, declined. $16.00, declined. You might want to try $17.00 etc...

My 2006 Ford Car/Truck Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis Service Manual has arrived, and it's a beauty! About $25.00 with shipping, and it looks like it's never been opened. Unfortunately, being in print form instead of PDF, makes it a pain to capture images of the pages. Too cumbersome to scan and taking pictures is no picnic either. Here's what I end up with:

Wading through this 2-1/2" thick book is the other issue. No way to search like a PDF. Maybe it will get easier as I use it, but it may take me a little while to find the correct Ignition and Fuel diagnosis pages...

Ok, I've figured out a little easier way to shoot the pages, and figured out how to navigate through it. See if the No Start info in the following pages gets you headed in the right direction:

Let me know if you need to branch into another section.

I included images of all the Pinpoint Test Contents, so you'd have an idea of what is covered.

I would highly suspect the fuel pump. Ive had one go bad on my 03 Mach1 and one more on my 98 Explorer. You should hear it for a few seconds when you turn on the key. See if you have any pressure at the fuel rail port. Just press the stem in and use a rag to avoid spraying in your face!

Did you start it? Please keep us posted.
