Hey all,

I have two minor problems I need a little input on. First is my wiper wash fluid does not make it to the window. Press the stalk and I can hear it humming, I can unplug the hose to the squirters it runs out a little. So the deal is I can hear it running, but I don't get any water up on the winshield or the rear window. What's the fix?

Second problem. I can hear a creaking or popping sound coming from the left front of the truck when you are going over bumps/imperfections in the road, you can also get it to make the noise when you bounce the truck, (Left Front Only) I don't think it's a ball joint because it's more of a creak than a squeak. It's been doing this for a few months, it's not very loud at all, it's just annoying. I can feel it a little bit in the steering wheel when it does it. Bad shock maybe? What do you think it is?

Vehicle: 1999 Explorer XLT 5.0L V8.

Thanks

with the wipers, if you can connect a seperate hose to the hood nozzles and blow some water out of it from another source (water pump, syringe, own mouth?) and see if its clogged up or free flowing.. if its ok then move to the hoses, are they free flowing as well or clogged up? if theyre ok then move to the pump, it may be running but it is pushing out any liquid at all? if thats ok then.. then you're probably out of windshield washer fluid :D

the "creak" - check your sway bar links and bushings.. they are the most common source of that annoying creak.. replace them if they are worn out.. if the creak is still there, it might be the upper control arm ball joint.. when i replaced mine along with the lower ball joint it took the creak away.. yeah, they do creak and not squeak..

Hope this helps a bit and goodluck!

It could be the nozzles are clogged too.
