I did a search, but didn't really find to much..

1.) I am going to disconnect the battery to wire up some fog lights. When I reconnect, do I need to worry about my doors key pad not working (the one I prorammed, not the factory set one). What about the radio? Will it need a code to work again? In my old car, every time I disconnected the battery I'd need to plug in a security code to get the radio working.

2.) What is the best place to run a wire through the firewall? I'm thinking of mounting the switch for my fog/driving lights on the trim that surrounds my radio head unit. Is there someplace back there that I can snake the wire up through?

Thanks in advance..

(1) The door locks will be fine, you will, however, have to reset the stations on the radio.

(2) Look carefully under the dash where the steering column goes through as well as the pedals, you should be able to find an existing grommet there.

Good luck .....

Thanks Al, you're the greatest.

So I don't have some sort of security code for the radio? If the most of my worries is resetting the preset stations, I'm good to go!

Nope, just have to reset the stations. You're good to go. Installing Fogs is something I'm planning to do also when I get a warm day. Maybe on Saturday.

When ever I disconnect the battery I have to re-input the radio security code - otherwise what use would it be?

Over here its to stop the radio being taken out of the car.

Some of the other radio settings maybe lost as well - I always lose the clock and it's always a right devil to find in the menus!
