Hi, Does anyone experience tyres sqealing on roundabouts etc? Mine sound like I'm in an american movie being chased by cops! I've had the tracking done and still the same. Not had the truck long but it looks as though the front tyres are wearing more on the inside. Could it be the camber of the wheel? Who could I get to check or adjust it? The spare looks pretty worn on the inside too so I'm guessing it's been on the front at some point. The tyres are not cheap so I want them to last as long as possible. :salute:

yes have the same thing happen-i have had tyres where on the inside front aswell-i have found that 30-32 psi pressure should cyre your squeel on cornering (most of the time);)

my rear left leaf spring is sagging badly and couses mine to squel turning right on roundabout or turning right at streets, does yours lean to one side?

i think its normal for a 4x4 to do this ,i find it does it most on tight turns like in a supermarket and everyone looks as if theres a maniac driving about but in actual fact im only doing 5 mph.:)

Hmm, seems I'm not alone. Tyre pressures are as they should be in the book, sits fairly squarely on the road too. Can it really be normal? Never had a 4x4 before and I guess they do have a higher centre of gravity. I suppose the best thing is to regularly rotate the tyres to try and even out the wear..

Try not to rotate the tyres it can shorten the life and course tread seperation thats the last thing you want on an explorer. if you are in the kings heath area let me know and I will re-check the alignment for you for no charge. i have just put a set of tyres on my motor and they sqeal a bit. if your tyres are wearing on both fronts its normaly a case of the alignment been out sometimes it can be caused by lower suspension arm rubbers thats common on the ka just pm me if you want me to check the track
