Ok so heres the deal. Today was really hot out so after school me and my friend thought itd be cool to take the doors off the splorer and just cruise around lol (he has a wrangler dont ask why we did it). Well the doors and the elec plugs came off real easy and we got the doors in the back to bring them home. Well i get home and try to open the hatch and guess what the hatch is locked:rolleyes:. SO my question now is without power lock controls how do you unlock the rear hatch. Oh and i only have the ford ignition key not the lock key so i think im screwed:(......tomorrow after school im goin to the garage but if i can get some help im going to fix it tonight. any advice or things to try let me kno i'll try it.

Ps. they dont fit back out the door holes lol only through the hatch.

Ahhhh haaaa!!!! Yes thatnk you i knew it was there but it had never worked before so again in desperation i went and played with it for 15 mins and wallaahh it unlocked and i could open it. hahaha now i just gotta put the doors back on lol ( a cop drove by and backed up to my driveway just to remind me that its not legal lmao).

This post reminds me of the shop teacher on South Park. For those of you that know what I'm talking about you'll find it funny. :D:D:D

Your hatch doesnt have a lock rod that you couldve pulled up on? And, the ignition and door keys should be the same

No, there is no lock rod on the tailgate.

Yes, the door and ignition key should be the same unless one or the other have been replaced.

Why would it be illegal to drive around without doors? without mirrors, maybe, but without doors? Apparently Jeeps are illegal in your community??
