uh oh little black box broke

alright i think ive traced the problem of my not working neon lights in the inside of my truck to the little black box they coem with, which i assume is, or least ive been told is a transformer. does anyone know a way to fix them, or bypass them, are they necessary, can i get a new one with out bying a new set of neons. basically help me please!

call the manufacturer.. and see what they can do for you.. i dont know ifyou have a warranty.. but thats prob your best bet.

i think what you are talking about is a relay

just replace that they are cheap

no its not a realy, these are the tiny little ones, neons that is. and they were supposed to plug into the cig lighter, but thats crap so i hard wired mine to the truck with a switch on the wire very simple like. so basically the box has 2 wires goin to each neon, and a neg and pos comin out the other side. i threw a switch on the pos that i hard wired with a built in fuse i had, and neg to the body, and yes its a good ground. so now the box dont work and apparently its necessary cause i tried going around it and they didnt light. so ill try with a manufacturer if i can find out or remember who that was.

its a transformer, it changes the voltage/amps or something.
