uh oh. rear door lock fell out!

my rear door lock where you put the key in to unlock/lock it, on the hatch in the back has been loose for awhile. you could pull it sorta in and out. but there were bars running to the lock inside so it wouldnt come out. but now it fell out, and im not exactly sure where. haha, but i dont know what fell out with it... help!

If your lock is similar to newer Explorers, its held in place by a large C-clip wedged in between the hatch and a lip on the back of the lock. Take off your rear hatch panel and geve her a look...it's pretty easy.

I too have this problem. Will your hatch stay locked or could just anyone come in?

im not exaclty sure.. i think it will still lock. i wanna know where the lock fell out ill go find it hahaha
