umm wheres this line go?

Ok, so took wife to the pet store, spent alot of money, come walking out, noticed, WTF IS THAT?!?! a line hanging out under the truck that hooks to the axle on driver side?!? Where does that go????? More money to spend?? HELP SOON!!! thanks!!

It is your axle vent tube. You can zip tie it higher up if you want to cross rivers/etc or to get it out of the way.
 






it's a vent tube, it hooks to the frame with a clip, up next to the top section of the rear shock. I just looked under my truck just to see where it went to, or didn't go to in this case.

When you do, make sure that there's a bend in it and the open end is facing down. The tube opening should be about an inch below the bend.
 






What does it do? Just help releases built-up air pressure from. Sorry for the Dume question and thread jack.
 






It's just an atmospheric vent to prevent the diff from building pressure as it heats during operation. If you don't put a bend in it with the open end facing downward, water from tire splash etc can enter. It'd take a lot, but it's a simple precaution.
