While trying to service my truck a few nights back I ran out of daylight and I had a vision,..I was at the Playboy mansion and ......(whoa!) Ok, back to life. My truck didn't come with the light under the hood to help see things. I got REALLY upset when I went inside and found my flashlight dead too!
Here's the solution I came up with. I got an extra cigarette lighter plug and ran it into the engine compartment and hooked it to the hood. Now I have an outlet in the engine compartment to plug in my spotlight which has a hook on the end to hang it from various places(both hands free). When I'm finished using it, unplug it, place it under the brake booster and done!
I also have a cooler and a TV/radio that plugs in that adapter same adapter so I can set the stuff right next to my spot when fishing.
