Under Powered!!cant Move

My explorer seems extremely underpowered alot more than my other one i had a while back.It even has a hard time making it up even the smallest incline.I recently redid the gears with 4:10's and a detroit locker it has a 4 in lift with 33*12.5*50 mud boggers i bought it this way. does anyone think downsizing the tire size would help alot or what. I was thining going with less agressive like an x terrain and about and inch smaller and a little narrower. Let me know what you think.

i think backpresure may have something to do with it too i have a flowmaster single chamber 30 series with a single high flow cat.

u could've gone a bit lower with the gearing but... even the 4.10's with 33's should be fine to get u around. i would say something is wrong and moving down in tire size won't fix the real problem at hand.

Slipping tranny? is it the a4ld? or the Mazda 5spd?

from reading your info the 4.10's should be just fine with 33's.....i am guessing it is somthing else...when you did the exaust and anyother engine mod's did you restet to computer?

i took it to my mechanic today and he checked everything. backpressure is fine mas air flow sensor is fine perfect compression in all cylinders and tranny isnt slipping. Im sizing down tires anyways cuz the 33's rub like no other and im having it dyno tuned. Im sick of the v6 already just not enough power im looking for a used 5.0 so i can do a swap then i wont have to worry about powerat all. Thnx for the help guys
