Has anyone mounted a small ( 2 x 50 w ) amp under the front passenger seat? How did you route thew wires?

Whats involved in removing the front passenger seat?

Thanks....

Ive never installed an amp under a seat before, but i would guess it wouldnt be hard at all!

The seat is bolted down with a few screws, unscrew them and mount the amp. Then cut a few small holes for all wires that are needed. ;)

Shouldnt be hard at all.

When I mounted mine, I didn't remove the seat, just pushed it as far forward as it would go. There was still a lot of room to work that way. I then cut a small hole in the carpet and routed the wires through the carpet to the dash.

Did you run the wires through the console or under the door?

I ran mine under the carpet to the door trim. It is easier to get at that way. Then around to the dash.

Did you run the 12 v power as well as the RCAs/speaker wires down the same side?

Thanks.....

I've got my amp mounted under the driver's seat (no power seat). The power wires are run under the door sill and the RCA cables are routed on the console side of the seat to prevent interference. I have not had any problems. My carpet already had a split in it centered beneath the seat, so I ran all the wires through it.

It's a Kenwood KAC-648S. Physical dimensions are:
W - 10.25"
H - 2.25"
D - 8.25"

It fits with room to spare.
