The underside of my fiberglass fenders is unfinished. Can I spray some of that rubberized spray undercoating on them? Would this hurt the glass in any way? I just think it would look better than the raw fiberglass.

I am almost 200% positive that you can...so yes.:D

Almost 200%, huh? Well, 175% was my cut-off, so I'll accept your answer. Thanks.

I am in 326.215 % agreement that yes the answer is yes you can.

Any particular brand better then another? Or is that generic rubberized undercoating in a can OK?

Ss far as I know it is the same thing. I used some generic stuff on my underside and it looked great and worked just as well as the factory stuff. I think it was like 3.50 a can.

Its amazing how different posts look after you wake up in the morning and see what you posted the night before.

Ok, got it, I understnad what you're saying. Actually, I have no idea what you are talking about. Very interesting post though. And yes, I do believe you had otoo mch fun.

the more expensive undercoatings are actually better- easier to get thicker and stronge.

i would use the roll on bedliner stuff from walmart if i were you

3M # 08880 ( I think that is the number ) is good stuff.

What ever you use wear long sleeves and gloves
that stuff is messy and it stays on you for a wile.

The 3M Underseal stuff is #08884. Easy to use from what I hear.

Thnaks for the tips guys. I may try and do that today. I'm stuck at home today, my little boy isn't feeling well.

I was purposefully trying not to bring up the hootus incident, but I guess it'll never go away.

What? you have to undercoat them? Damn! I bought mine used and didn't get no directions with them.

Can't the mud that flies up into them be the undercoating?

Besides you are gonna make them heavier.

Well yes, but I'm not going to add an inch of undercoating. Just enough to give some level of protection. I don't think you have to do it, though. Plus I'd like it to be black like everything else underneath.

I know their was another post in here talking about it but another option for under-coating is the POR15 undercoat. This stuff is more "like" a paint than the rubber coating of 3M. And probably a lot lighter... I say like because it isn't viewed as a paint. Here is the FAQ page for POR15...
