My 2004 with 4.0 engine will stall when going slow/coasting down a slight grade. Happens with or without cruise engaged. I can watch the tach drop as the stall occurs. The vehicle has 234,000 miles. I am not the original owner. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Alan

I’d start with any out of date maintenance items. Plugs, wires, fuel filter, along with cleaning the MAF, and IAC if your model is cleanable.

MBrooks420,
Basic ignition parts are relatively new. I like your idea on cleaning the MAF and IAC. I'll report back.
Thanks again,
Alan

Any codes? Your 2004 should not have an iac as it's the first year of the electronic throttle body. Check for any vacuum leaks or air leaks in intake tube coming from throttle body to maf sensor.
