ok i posted a thread last night on here about putting my nu-image white face gauges in with flames.well i explained in the thread that i pulled the needles off and not marking where they were first or taking a picture.i let the truck warm up today and put the needles to where i remember them to be.all looks pretty close but i noticed today taking a test drive that my speedometer might be off a little.the needle rest on the black peg when sitting still and moves like before.but i know my truck shifted into over-drive at 45-46 mph.and now it shifts between 50-51 mph.so i think the speedo is about 5 over on its reading.if its not really a big deal,i can adjust/get used to it.i just don't think its worth taking everything apart again just to move that needle a bit.but i think my mileage will rack up faster if its reading faster than what im actually going.....any thoughts would greatly be appreciated! thanks.

Nah. The mileage isn't changed. The needle, itself, is just point at the wrong numbers. For the needle to be reset to 0 without the truck moving you'd have to put it back on actually pointing below the 0 mark. This would require removing the little peg that the needle rests on when the truck is sitting still. To get it back on right you'll need to get on the highway and set the cruise with a car pacing you driving the same speed. Then carefully try to plug the needle on to whatever speed you are traveling.

ok that makes sense.i think i'll just leave it be.maybe someday if i need to get in there i'll change it.but for now,its ok.thanks for the input.
